Installed and running fine ............ after a lot of extra work to get all my working environments back to how they were (extra components, external tools, settings). 
Let me explain what I usually do when upgrading:
I make a backup of the version 7.3 Local\Typhon folder and the Roaming\typhon32 and Roaming\typhon64 folders.
I do the upgrade.
Then I restore the previous made 7.3 backup. 

But then the trouble starts, typhon32 starts up correctly and asks me if I want to upgrade the found 7.3 settings to 7.4.
Answering Yes the settings are upgraded and typhon32 works with my old working environments.

But doing the same action on typhon64 leaves me with a non-starting typhon64.
So in the end I had to redo the installation of CodeTyphon and do all changes and additions manually in the 7.4 version.
I hope that you really will change the upgrading of CodeTyphon to include saving and upgrading of previous setings in the next version, it would save the user (a lot of) work when upgrading.
 

Why don't use the standard CT procedures for restore and backup user settings ?

The only backup I find in CodeTyphon is the backup of the glassdocking window layout (in the Settings menu), but that does not save my componentbar setup, my editor toolbar setup, my editor color settings or the settings of my external tools.
Where can I find the Standard procedures to backup those?

 

External tools configuration form has Import/Export functions.

 


Component bar setup and Toolbar setup is part of Desktops Import/Export functionality

 


Please, test these CodeTyphon Import/Export  abilities.
If any problem exists we will try to fix-it

CT 7.4, Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon

Hallo!
After switching to the latest version of CT (007311), I can no longer
switchthe source code between Debug and Release via the menu bar.
Switching works via the menu (CTRL SHIFT F11).

With CT version 7.3 under Windows 7 everything runs normally.

Installed 007340 and no problems encountered.
Saving/restoring IDE layout and/or Desktops does not seem to include the color settings of the editor, I see an export option in the options/editor/colors page but no import option.
How to save and restore editor color settings?
(not that big a problem as I can set them manually, but it would be more convenient if I could restore them too)

ALL Editor Color files are in (
C:\Users\matis\AppData\Roaming\typhon64\userschemes\

 

Just copy to this folder, your saved Editor Color xml file
Restart IDE
because in startup the IDE scan in the above directory for Editor Color Files

PS: this CT revision has "tons" of new staff...

For complete transparancy it might help if in the option page there would be an Import button next to the Export button. To make it all even more 'dummy proof'
