Thanks for the latest update!
Just checked out CodeTyphon under Linux Mint (22.3).
I see that my previously reported anomaly in the Forms designer has been solved, everything aligns now as designed in the compiled program.
But unfortunately I still do not see any hints when I hover my mouse cursor over a component in the form.
Not a big problem as I now click on the component and look up what I want to know in the Object Inspector but when I just want to look up the components position values it is quicker if the hints would work and showed them (just as it works under Windows).

Thanks My Friend

CT Ver 9.00 has a lot of new abilities and fixes.

We can't get 100% of windows functionality on Linux and Unix.

Yes, Linux Desktop has big problem (My opinion).

Thanks for the quick reply.
I know it is a lot of hassle to get a program to work similarly on Windows and Linux and I wish you luck in trying to minimize the differences.
One more thing I noticed is that the text alignment for a tEdit and a tMemo component are different, it seems the text of the tMemo field starts at position 0 while all other components start at position 1 (see attached screenshot, text for 'Lange omschrijving' is further to the left than the other components on the form).

Thanks for the new CT-version!

I tested it with the following projects:
Compiled under lin_64:
linux64->amd64->linux64_gtk
linux64->amd64->linux64_qt5
linux64->int32->win32
linux64->armv7->linux32

Compiled under win10_64:
win32->int32->win32

Everything works perfectly!
The problem with the large fonts and icons in the IDE is also gone now.

Latest upgrade installed on Linux Mint.
All is well, but my previous observation is still valid, TEdit and TMemo field do not left-align text similarly (see screenshots in my previous message).
Project was compiled as GTK2 project.

Also upgraded my Windows 11 CodeTyphon and did not find any problem during installation and recompiling some of my projects.
On Windows TEdit and TMemo components do have the same left-aligned text, so my complaint is purely a Linux problem.
Thanks anyway for all your hard work on making CodeTyphon better and better!

Hello,
I installed this new version on Fedora 44/KDE and haven't encountered any issues.
Great job :))
However, while using it, I’ve noticed a few issues:
- On non-QWERTY keyboards, Ctrl + Shift + N works, but Ctrl + N does not.
- I’m having trouble with copy/paste. CT refuses to paste text that was previously copied, even though I can paste it in Kate, for example. That’s very strange.
edit: I tested the copy-and-paste function again. Everything works perfectly when CT starts up. But at some point (I don't know when yet), it stops working.
To be continued...
- Is it possible to change the display of the context-sensitive help? In CT, it’s hard to read (see the attached images).
- Is it possible to increase the size of the component icons in the component palette?
Thanks for this excellent version.

Otherwise, I’m running Fedora 44/KDE.

Hi guys,

After the installation of the new version of CT I can't create any executable programs. The compiling process works well and the message window told me that the process ends successfully, but there is no execution file there (CachyOS X64).
Is it a bug or do I have made some settings which are blocking the output of my execution file.

Cheers

Hello everyone,Today's issue:
- When I select a component on a form—for example, a button—and press the Esc key, the IDE doesn't select the parent control.
- In the control's Properties panel, when I double-click “OnCreate,” for example, it doesn't automatically create the procedure in the source code.

OK, I've switched back to GTK2. That seems to have solved some issues. Thanks

Hi guys,

is it possible that the reason is the kernel version? You are using the LTS and I'm using the RT kernel.
