CT 8.50 Final tested using distribution Debian GNU/Linux 12 and Windows 10(VirtualBox).
Projects (gtk2, pl_RX, pl_FpSpreadsheet, lz_SQLdb(sqlite)), no problems found.

As I wrote earlier DBText behavior has changed. Instead of displaying real text, there is a "Memo" remark.
See www.pilotlogic.com/sitejoom/index.php/fo....html?start=20#18495
If this happens now, let me know, please.

Thank you for your tireless work! Best regards

Hi Sternas and team. Thank you for the updated version 8.50.

I have just installed 8.50 on my x86_64 Linux box (Debian 12 with latest updates) with no problems.
However, install does not complete on my Raspberry Pi 4. The install
process just stops without error. Seems to be random. I have tried now 3 times with same result.
Reinstalling ver 8.40 does succeed. Have tried this also a couple of times.
Pi has 8GB RAM, is running Debian 12 with kernel 6.6.51, running KDE Plasma
on X11. CodeTyphon installed with default widget set GTK2.

Older CodeTyphon versions also ran without problems on my old Raspberry Pi 3 with 1GB RAM.

Any idea why installation does not complete?

Have booted Pi into run level 3. Running 8.50 install.sh now. So far it is still running. Will report back with result.
I am also running the same OS as you are on your Pi 5

Well, what do you know? Installation Success! Don't know what to say.
System logs contain no errors. I am using an Intel 500 series SSD connected with
SATA to USB3 adapter plugged into a USB3 port in the Pi.

Will clone the drive when I have some time to play and re-test.

Thank you for your time and help.
Enjoy.

Hey guys,I have noticed the following behavior. I was working on a program with components. Then I created a new project from the “Simple application” menu. I noticed that all components used in the previous program are still visible in the component tree (see picture). Is this intentional or is it a bug?

Thanks Sir
It's a bug

To fix-it
a) Replace with the new propedits.pp
the
codetyphon\typhon\components\BaseIDEIntf\source\propedits.pp

b) Rebuild bs_IDEIntf package
c) Rebuild TyphonIDE

Hello!
Windows 11 Pro 23H2 CT ver 8.50
BUG: Hint BUG

CodeOcean Examples -> kgriddemo.ctpr
kgriddemomw.pas line 878

procedure TForm1.KGrid1GetCellHintText

Hints is turned OFF? Without "Exit" I get Access Violation and App close.
How can we Fix that?

In Lazarus 3.6 this code is working fine.

Thanks Sir
a quick fix..

1) Replace kgrids.pas
with new attach and rebuild pkg.

2) Remove "Exit" line from the demo

PS: KControls pkg of CT 8.50 is the latest GIT version.

Hello!
Not a BUG, but feature request.
Windows 11.
CodeTyphon and Typhon shortcut icons "*.lnk"is in %USERPROFILE%\Desktop folder.
On some systems Desktop folder may be in another place. For example "C:\Users\user\OneDrive\Desktop\"For correct place in Python we read registry:
import os import winreg
reg_key = winreg.OpenKey(winreg.HKEY_CURRENT_USER, r'Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders')
desktop = winreg.QueryValueEx(reg_key, 'Desktop')[0]
winreg.CloseKey(reg_key)
print('file:')
fullname = os.path.join(desktop, 'Somefile.ext')
print(fullname)
Result: C:\Users\user\OneDrive\Desktop\Somefile.ext
