Many new "things" in Core of FPC and TyphonIDE.

Latest upgrade installed on Windows 10 (64-bit), but with a problem.
During upgrading I got an error when the installation procedure tries to strip typhon64.exe and again when it tries to strip all ct tools (see attached screenshot).
Typhon does start normally but again when trying to rebuild the 64-bit IDE the same error pops up "libzstd.dll not found" (see second attached screenshot).
Rebuilding the 32-bit IDE gives no problems.
Is there a 64-bit dll missing in the latest upgrade?

Finally we fix the problem.

GNU binutils 2.40.0 of LAB CT rev 8040 build
strip.exe 64bit without "-static" option.

We roll black GNU binutils source  to ver 2.39.0, and build strip.exe 32/64, with CTCenter again.
We test on "clean" Win10 and Win11 installations, without any problem.

Please, try and new Revision 008050

PS: Now we must remove any application(s) with GNU libraries
from ALL DEV PCs in our LAB...

I solved it myself by downloading and copying the missing dll to the correct Windows folder.
After that rebuilding typhon64 went okay without errors.
I will try the new upgrade tomorrow.

In the past the various windows in Settings, Oprtions always had some formatting errors (ie: entry fields not wide enough or controls overlapping each other.  This has been true both in generic Lazarus and in Typhon.  I am happy to see that the UI in all these windows in 8.10 seems to be cleaned up.  Looks very professional.  Also in 8.10, it was easy to set up the IDE exactly the way I want it.

I have had problems with your website being momentarily unavailable over the last 24 hours.  I will start the upgrade from 8.00 to 8.10 and it will eventually time out before all the files are downloaded.  One time it made it through downloading 40 files and then timed out.  Is it possible to make the upgrade process a little more intelligent, so that it doesn't try re-downloading files that have already been downloaded? It is on your end, because I check www.pilotlogic.com in my browser after the failure and it is unavailable for a minute or two and then reappears.

and all our web servers run ok, 

in the last 48 hours.

 

Probably a network issue somewhere upstream from you.

Note: I tried running a CodeTyphon Suite download in parallel with the upgrade download.  With both running, the upgrade completed successfully.  The Suite download acted as a keep=alive for the connection. When the upgrade was running by itself, the connection would end up being broken every time, sometimes very quickly and occasionally when a large percentage of the files had been downloaded.

In the previous version I have saved window layout to file. When I try to load it in CT 8.10, all windows dissapears (stays only main window with pallete). When I restore layout, I can see error "Error: Error loading window layout from file "C:\Users\xxxxxxxxxxx\Desktop\CT.xml" Error reading tvWatches.DragType: Invalid value for property".

EDIT:
It appears, that there is problem with opening Watches (from View > Debug windows) at all

1) For Watches Dlg

a) Replace the 2 files in
C:\codetyphon\typhon\components\BaseDebuggerIDE\source\

from attach files.

b) Compile bs_DebugerIDE package.
c) Rebuild Typhon IDE.

2) For window layout, we make some changes to the Windowing Core.

The CT revision 008050 is the latest LAB CodeTyphon 8.10.

We don't have any other release of CT 8.10

We release LAB CodeTyphon ver 8.10 revision 008060
Please, test, report or suggest and

Revision 08060 installed under Windows 10, no problems so far.
Linux installation will follow soon.
