Today I finished installing and setting 64bit ROSA 'Marathon' 2012 EE on the laptop that I use for work. If you do not know what is ROSA, info can be found on distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=rosa

Next logical step was to test CT in this new environment. As expected, CT works just fine since ROSA is based on Mandriva.

I managed to set CT with cross compiling capabilities (for both Windows and Linux, and for both 32bit and 64bit) on Mandriva x64 some time ago, so I decided to test this on ROSA too. As you can see that works fine.

First images from CT (both 32 and 64bit) in ROSA are attached.

More info on how to set up cross compiling in Mandriva and Rosa will be in another post (probably tomorrow, but I can not promise anything, since I am very tiered and busy).

First part of promised how-to is here

That will help you to install CT in one of two ways:

A - to have both 32bit and 64bit FPC and both 32bit and 64bit Lazarus.
B - to have both 32bit and 64bit FPC but only one 64bit Lazarus.

That will provide you the ability to compile both 32bit and 64bit apps in same 64bit ROSA or Mandriva.

I will try to make second part soon, in which I will describe how to add ability to crosscompile for both 32bit and 64bit Windows for this same environment.
