Hello, does exist another way to send issues to you?

So, the problem is a old problem on Windows XP 32bits and Language PT-BR.

I tried to clean and build all with CodeTyphon 0.944b and everything was build fine. SO, when I try to open the Lazarus, these messages appears (attached 1 of 3).

Now, it's the same error on this topic after applying the fix of %windir%\System32\xcopy.

Hi, markbass72.

I really don't know the point of problem. Using Kubuntu Jaunty 9.04 everything is running perfect.

The trouble is only on windows, and some versions (XP 32 PT-BR, XP 32 EN-US, W7 32 EN and W7 64 EN - only 32bits building).

So, I'm thinking that is only on 32bits and the username "administrator" isn't the problem.

I solved my problem on windows downloading the "official" development snapshot of lazarus 32bitsdevelopment snapshot of lazarus 32bits and download the Lazarus v0.9.27 + fpc 2.2.4. After I installed the components from CodeTyphon (because they are reviewed by PilotLogic Team).

So... I really want to help more but I don't know how to.

Cya,

Yeah. Every that I'm using I installed using the menu Package > Open package file (.lpk) ... - like Delphi.

I'm using the components from PilotLogic because at Kubuntu Jaunty 9.04 I'm using this awesome lazarus stuff (like I said, on linux everything is running fine). BUT it still having troubles on windows and I can't see a light yet.

I get the same error messages trying to install out-of-the-box on Win32. Also when I first install a Lazarus + FPC snapshot. So I tried various methods, no results. However on Win64 installation was perfect and I congratulate you with a very nice project!

I do not see any way to get CodeTyphon working under Win32. BTW the setup.bat file terminates immediately for some reason.

Using Norwegian Windows XP 32. The Win64 is US English.

I use the workaround of installing the packages manually. Great job, thank you - I was unable to install TVirtualTreeview from Mike's page but your .lpk installs flawlessly :-)

I'm having the same problem as the original user in this thread. It's like it's not setting the paths.

I've successfully setup CodeTyphon on both Vista, Win7 and Ubuntu at least twice, but for some reason it keeps doing this on my XP SP3 machine.

I have been trying to do the install but running CodeTyphon_win32.exe and choosing "Remove and Build Lazarus and FPC".

If I try to use the Setup.bat, it exits immediately (like someone else mentioned), I figured out that's due to the fact that the batch file (setup.bet) uses CHOICE.EXE which is not included in XP (it's back in Vista and newer).

I grabbed a copy from a Windows 2003 server, and threw it in the CodeTyphon folder, and now I'm trying the Batch file/Option 7 to see if that magically sets the paths. Very strange.

I am an admin on thise machine (and on the domain), but I'm not logged in as "Administrator" or anything dumb like that. :)

We'll see if the setup.bat method works any better and I'll be back. If that doesn't work, I"m lost. :)

I've found that for an install on Ubuntu 9.10 and Win32 (XP, SP3) that the setup.sh and setup.bat don't work for me but the relevant 32-bit "remove and install" using CodeTyphon work fine. From my programming experience I've always kept one system dual booting Windows and Linux with clean new installs for testing installations of my own software. It's not a good idea to rely on clients having identical installed software to what's on the development computer!

The idea to install Lazarus using the repositories is a very good one, especially with Ubuntu Karmic, if followed by an install of CodeTyphon. I wish I had used that route in the fist place.

Nick
