Hi!

About 2 years ago I installed CodeTyphon on a RaspberryPI  (32bit) - now I wanted to update the whol thing....
I did a distribution upgrade (via apt-get upgrade... and update)
Then I downloaded the new installer 8.3 - removed the old version and started the installation process...

I thought it would be a good idea to install the system libraries again but here comes the pain...
Attached are the errors that occured when installing the system libs:

Any idea what I did wrong here?

I now tried a complete new setup - fresh Raspian 32 bit installer and the latest CodeTyphon setup and unfortunately I failed.

It seems that the setup tries to install fpc64 (everything points to the fact that the installer tries 64bit arm architekture...) which I think is not the right one for 32 bit right?

The problem is in  Raspbian (raspios_full_armhf-2023-12-06).
Same problem and in our LAB.

The OS (raspios_full_armhf-2023-12-06) report Arm64 Linux Architecture

We will test and raspios_full_armhf-2024-03-15 and report here

We test on a PI5 with 8Gbyte:
-2023-05-03-raspios-bullseye-armhf-full.img
-2023-10-10-raspios-bookworm-armhf-full.img
-2024-03-15-raspios-bookworm-armhf-full.img

In ALL these OSes command uname -a report Arm64 Linux Architecture and this it's NOT correct.

Now, we must found an old PI4 to test again the above OSes,
but, I think the CodeTyphon support for Arm32 as Host OS,
it's finish for CT ver 8.4 ...

We must "Fly with the wind" and "Follow the river" ..

And the conclusion is that there will be no future support for 32 bit?
And... Raspi OS reports the wrong architecture?

Tomorrow we will test CT dual architecture on PI5 with the latest Arm64 Raspbian.
I hope to work OK.

Dear Devs!

I got this answer from the RaspiOS team:
forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?p=2206060#p2206060

It seems that they basically use the 64bit kernel + 32 bit userland (I think that is some sort of WOW64To32 in Windows right?)
I don't know if you guys will take some action here or if I just port my 32bit NAS + Apache to 64 bit...

We test CT dual architecture on PI5 with the latest Arm64 Raspbian and latest Arm64 Ubuntu Desktop 23.10 for Pi5.
Arm32 bit architecture don't build.

From the answer from the RaspiOS team, it's clear why.
