It gets to one spot and sits there for a really long time. No errors, etc. it has been installing for probably about 45 mins-1hr. Should I let it continue? Is there anything special I need to install or update for Slackware? Running KDE window manager. Thanks,

After a lot houses with the "beast"...

Sir, first of all the latest release of Slackware Linux 14.2 is at 2016-07-01, before 5 years.
We install Slackware Linux 14.2 on a PC with 4Cores and 8Gb RAM.
We use slackware64-14.2-install-dvd.iso info
We build Typhon Small-IDE in about 8 minutes (pic1)
Typhon BIG-IDE stack on Typhon executable building (pic2)

Sir, Slackware Linux it's dead, we can't support this distribution anymore..
