Hello.

I did try many time, with good wifi connection, to upgrade CT 7.0 Linux 64 to last development using CodeTyphon Update manager.

Sadly, after +- 1 minute, there is that error message:

Connection to www.pilotlogic.com:80 timed out.

Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Press Abort to kill the program.

I did retry many time but always same problem.

With previous version of CodeTyphon, update was ok.

Your linux OS ?
try to run codetyphon without sudo
Did you add "username ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL" to your /etc/sudoers file ?

Hello Sternas.

My Linux OS is Debian 10.1 64 bit and 16 gigas ram.
I did try codetyphon without sudo and my sudoers file is ok.

But same problem after download some files.

You may see in my previous screenshot attachment that the download begin but stops after downloading some files.

Are you sure it is not a problem from your server?
I did try from different wifi provider but same problem.

Hello Sternas.

Hum, mystery of computers, I just re-try to update using CodeTyphon (without reinstalling it) and now... it works, update did download all the new files and is busy to compile.

So, sorry for the noise.

Write you later after compilation finish and after some tests.

Hello Sternas.

OK, compilation was ok.

But for the problems with fpc 3.3.1 after rev 2375 of Jul 13 2019 (for example with msegui), it is the same, nothing was fixed.

And after many nights of investigations, I still did not find how to fix it.

Re-hello.

I did try with last trunk of fpc 3.2.0 :
svn co svn.freepascal.org/svn/fpc/branches/fixes_3_2

Huh, all works perfectly, even msegui, and all executables compiled with fpc 3.2.0 are +- 25% lighter and faster than with fpc 3.0.2.
(A contrario, all executables compiled with trunk fpc 3.3.1 are +- 25% bigger and slower than with fpc 3.0.2.)

But I promise to not annoy you with this.

;)

Have fun.

1) We test our servers every day

2) We will NOT switch to FPC 3.20.
ALL LAB programmers have the same opinion...

We have make so many work on SVN FPC.

I think you can fix "msegui" to work with CodeTyphon-FPC.

The changes log of FPC 3.2.0 has NOT close yet..
and my opinion is FPC 3.2.0 release is far far far...

One question, the future has CodeTyphon-FPC or CodeTyphon-OPC ?
We will see... :)

I think you can fix "msegui" to work with 3.3.1

There is only one thing that does not work with msegui and fpc 3.3.1, it is the "msestat" files.
"msestat" files are kind of ini files but with much more feature.

Strangely, with fpc 3.3.1, the TForm section is not more recognized.
It is not easy to fix because it call rtl features.

So, if you see how to fix this, I would be extremely happy with your tips.
I did try many, many times without any luck.

One question the future has FPC or OPC ?

Surely both.

;)
