Hello,

first of all i want to say that you do a great job. CodeTyphon makes my live much easier using fpc and lazarus.

I've seen that the new CodeTyphoon version 5.6 is available. But the update manager in the CodeTyphon Center shows alway the 5.5 version.

Is it possible to fix it.

from CT ver 5.5 to CT 5.6 we
changed CT installation path for all Unix OSes
/usr/lib/codetyphon to
/usr/local/codetyphon

so, you must reinstall CT ver 5.60 with CodeTyphonIns.zip

Thank you for the quick answer.

Sorry that i've forgotten to mention my OS is Windows 7. Has also changed the installation path for the Windows-OS?

Perhaps my english is to bad, but this answer dossn't satisfy. Does it means, there is no path-changes on Windows-machines between 5.5 and 5.6?

Meantime i've looked at www.pilotlogic.com/codetyphon/current/zzctdirver.ctv. This file seems to use during update-procedure to verify the current version and the content in this file points to version 5.5 (##ctva005500 and so on).

Surely is it possible to use the zip-file but this error doesn't fade away without any intervention.

Yes Sir, no local installation path-changes on Windows-machines between 5.5 and 5.6
the path you looked on our Web server is NOT for ver 5.60 but for CT 5.5

Sorry for my late reply but i wasn't at office.

First thank you for your answer.

But it seems that you only want to give your answers in a extremely short and unsatisfying way. My conclusion on your answer is, that i have to do nothing, because there is no error. But why is it not possible to do an update. In addition, it is nice that you tell me that the path to your web site is not correct althogh it is hardcoded in CTC and neither you offer anything as compensation nor what you will do with my error report. This is now the sixth reply where in my opinion one detailled has fully sufficed. This is very ineffecient for you and me. In meantime we both could do something else.

I have now downloaded the zip-file and installed manually the new version, but i have more machines which do not have a fast internet connection and they are handled by remote access. Therefore i want to know whether ctc will be corrected to update the new version.

I have the same problem. I am on win 7 64bit. Of course I am able to install with zip but I feel the necessity to report problem:

Same problem with Windows 10. CT 5.5 installed but with update manager, no update available, while 5.6 is the last release.

Pls fix CTC update bug

to Install CT 5.6 you must download and install CT 5.6 zip file (CodeTyphonIns.zip)
Update procedure DO NOT work from CT 5.5 => 5.6
Work OK from CT 5.6 => Lab CT 5.7
