Hello,

I am currently using Linux Mint 17.1 and trying to install CT. I am running on a MAC through Parallels 9(not sure if that matters or not). I have followed every guide I can find and searched through most of the forum boards here that make sense to look in. I have tried installing CT 5.2, 5.0 and 4.8 and all of them with the same result. I have attempted both Linux Mint 32 and 64 bit versions as well as 32 and 64 bit versions of CT.

The problem I am getting is this:
1. Code Typhon when opened I have only the first 4-5 items(TABS). Nothing more than that (I would list the tabs out but I am in the middle of a reinstall of Linux Mint to see if I did something wrong again).
2. I open up the package manager to install/uninstall packages and all the packages are there but most are pink in color and it says that the packagae is queued for install but not installed.
3. I removed all of them that I could remove and rebuilt and repeated the process by adding them all again and it crashes during the build. (Sorry I forgot the error here) something about compiler fails starting external

***EDIT***
4. Upon further trying to install I do now see that when I go to build ALL at the very end I get an error Sorry typhon Big IDE Not Build

I have another identical mac, which I have parallels 7 with linux mint 13 installed with CT 4.8 and it works fine. I am more or less a Linux Virgin but am trying to get into so if it is something complicated to do , then a link to a walkthrough or tutorial would be amazing, even if it is just the basics I can figure my way to a solution most of the time. I am not sure if there is a rights problem, or I am doing something completely wrong(I would assume). I also have been using CT4.8 on windows now for a while and love it so I would like to say thanks for the work that you guys put into this project.

The Tabs I currently seem to get are: Standard, Additional, Common Controls, Dialogs, Data Controls, System, Misc, Data Access and LazControls. I was mistaken about 4-5 tabs, I actually get 9 Tabs.

The build has probably failed on one of the components.
I normally have trouble with PL_WST start by uninstalling this one from the packages menu and rebuild.
No success try each one in turn!

I have the files you have requested, although these will be from Mint 16 Cinnamon desktop. The same exact problem exists for Mint 13, Mint 16, Mint 17.1 with CT 4.8, 5.0 and 5.2.
if absolutely have to have the 17.1 file I can reinstall and get. This pc is not mine, mine works but the only difference seems to be parallels versions(maybe is the root cause?)

Parallels Information (if need more I can get more)
CPUs : 2
Memory 2048MB
Parallels Build 9.0.24251 (Revision 1052177)

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lGL
the linker can't find library libGL.so
check if this library exist in your system

and please give sudo root privileges to current user
it's mandatory for CT installation

The Only one i can find is in /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/mesa/
The other 2 in different directories are shown as broken links. (Hope that makes sense, I am very new to Linux)
There are no files named that in the directory you have mentioned

I have also followed directions for the sudo privileges.

Sir
the problem is that we don't use Parallels in our lab
my suggestion is to setup Linux MINT 17.1

Normally libGL.so for Mint/Ubuntu/Debian is in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ directory for 64bits OS
if this link is broken, then you must install OpenGL driver again

Retry to install "System Libraries" from CTC =>HostPC => Install System Libraries action
you can see these "System Libraries" from CTC =>HostPC => System Libraries Status dialog

We just finally had a breakthrough and wanted to say thank you, for some reason openGL(mesa?) was not taking. Upgraded parallels to version 10 and reinstalled OpenGL and it works now. Now I am not totally sure if it was the upgrade to parallels 10 that fixed or a combination of both... Apparently(according to brief searches) Parallels seems to have problems with OpenGL 3.2. Not sure if this is the full issue or not. But it is now working and we wanted to say thank you for the help!

Oh we all wanted to say thank you for the work on codetyphon, it has fulfilled our every need(manufacturing) so far. Only addon we have used is CPort for serial communication.
