This is not logical Sir
lazarus.exe build at install time from sources
I think is false alarm.

We test CodeTyphonIns.zip for virus before every release

Ok

actually retrieved my Old serial , and installed XP pro in a VirtualBox emulator

spending time now to take this XP upgraded and up to date LOL , its long

then i'll install avira antivirus and CT

I will let you know if i experience any issue,

BUT :

as I said , the very very last software I would install on a professional computer would be a FREE antivirus. There is a Major reason in that ...

If I pay a software which comes with issues , I can complain to the authors and they will take my complain , work on it , and solve it (paying a software = guaranty of results)

Free software can be Great , but you have NO guaranty , and if you complain , in most cases , the authors are going to argue like this "c'mon , its free, we do not owe you anything, we already worked hard etc etc".

And they will be right and respectable.

So , AVOID free antivirus !

I know ... I know... but
Greek crisis crushes me...
So no money to buy a new computer (that i use now is about 10 years old)...
So i think i that free antivirus is ok for now...

My friend if your results tell me that is ok ... i follow... ;) ;)

Thank you...

yup ,

after about 4 hours update on one of my laptops , finally I can tell you that you are right

at build stage , when Lazarus.exe just finished to be linked,

avira antivirus said exactly what you said in a popup window.

however , this issue does not come from CT itself, unlike the fpcup issue i had with Trend Micro Antivirus Titanium. I mean , my antivirus wich is one of the 5 best over the world , directly warns and blocks fpcup, not the compiled sources it gathers.

I have 2 desktop computers , 3 laptops , sharing those last ones between office and home , so i spent time to test, i didn't care :)

and I can tell you that you are right on the trojan alert.

I suggest you to signal it to Avira , they should make an exception around IDE and FP compiler, because I also have other computers (as i mentioned) with other antiviruses , and Avira is the only one , so far , screaming at a Lazarus building.

I'm going to uninstall this VirtualBox right now...

thank you.

Sir
from my "position", I can't do anything
My suggestion is to report this at avira antivirus support.

We don't use this antivirus in our Lab.
