Hope this isn't a redundant topic. I didn't see a search feature, so I'm
going to chance it.

I'm using Win 7 32 bit on a desktop machine. I'm trying to install CT 4.10.
I run the install as prescribed in the online Windows Install help. That runs
fine, with no errors. When I fire up Laz I notice that the all the extra CT
components are are missing from Laz. I opened CT and ran the build LargeIDE
to see if that would solve the problem. No luck though.

Is this a known problem? Am I missing something? (Most likely yes )

Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Still having the problem though. Also tried installing CT 4.10 to my laptop that has Win7 64 bit. I've run the install as admin, and tried the install several times. When it gets to the end, the message says it is unable to build the IDE.

Every install that I have tried on Ubuntu 32 and 64 bit has worked like a charm, and my Win XP box, at home, has had no problems. Looks like Win7 is a real pain for CT.

Again, if anyone has any feedback/ideas for me, I will be very appreciative.

I think I solved the whole problem = please try my trick

that is :

whenever you need to install CT , open a DOS box WITH ADMINISTRATIVE privileges

whenever you need to use CT, right click on its icon and run it with ADMINISTRATIVE privileges

i noticed that CT use GNU binaries to copy/install files using the syntax of linux (ex. cp file 755 (755 means linux super user "sudo" -admin like on windows- giving "attrib" wich is windows corresponding command , to files -readonly/executable/system/hidden/etc...-)

you then need to run each parts of CT Utilities as ADMINISTRATOR on windows vista and later.

ty Sirs , I had issues while just launching CT from desktop icon, then i did it (always launch it by right clicking and run as admin)... it works fine for me, hope it will be the same for you

Thanks for the suggestions. I've zipped up two logs. One for my 32 bit system and the other for the 64 bit. In the mean time I will try running CT Center with admin rights and doing a build.

I tried opening CT Manager with admin rights and building. Got the same result. Errors building
the small IDE and then the bigIDE.

Please remove C:\FPC from your PC and try to build CT again

We fix this problem (read other fpc.cfg) to lab CodeTyphon version
