Just installed in VirtualBox Win XP SP3 + directx_Jun2010_redist.exe

Same "Procedure entry point "Direct3DCreate9Ex" error when loading lazarus32 icon:

Several Not found libraries thought....

Idem with my install on XP + SP3. Will have to wait a little longer.

is newest than DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) here

After installation on XP-SP3 System we can have Directx9, DirectX 10 and DirectX 11.

Got to run CodeTyphon 3.0 on Win XP finally!

The problem was Direct 3D Acceleration disabled.

Just in case... Sternas, could you post here a list of runtimes and SDKs that are installed on your XP machines?
Many people have installed the latest DX but were unsuccessfull. And I'm talking not only about 3.0, but either 2.9.

You haven't any problem, and some people have despite presence of the latest DX.

It's "MSDN confirmed" then Direct3DCreateEx isn't supported on XP. I know tere's many lies on MSDN, but the very error confirms that. So maybe you have some special components?

Are your XPs in VirtualBox? Is there any dependencies on C++, C#, J# or F# (yeah, F# exists, I'm too surprised) or VB runtimes? Or have you Wine3d installed?

If not VirtualBox, then have you a discrete VCard or integrated?

The problem isn't in directX or graphic acceleration (I have this ebabled), but in what have YOU done to make unsupported function work

If some tird-party program (like VCard drivers installer) changed of pathed d3d9.dll in order to bring users better graphics then it would be understandabe. I havent tried 2.9 or 3.0 on the discrete VCard, but integrated doesn't work with 2.9.

Please, Sternas, I know that 3.0 beta is here, but wouldn't you agree that we should find a way to get it working as it is rather than trying to delete or change smth in the sources of CT? It's obviously we're lacking smthing except DX.

Thanks for the info, but on my system winXP + SP3 + all dx updates as you described the problem still remains the same, please note that I'm not using virtual machine.

I did need to install 3D accelerator driver to run in XP.

What do you mean by 3D accelerator driver?
You haven't drivers for your video card and was expecting directX to work? I thought the latest drivers to one's video card is essential...
Or there is another programm named "3D accelerator driver"?

I own a HP Laptop with Win7-64bits.

Drivers that was installed by Microsoft doesn't includes 3D accelerator.
I downloaded last AMD Catalyst driver for my ATI video card to get 3d accelerator.

Then I can create Virtualbox machine in Safe mode to activate 3D.

I do not why, but it runs well now....

And I have installed the latest DirectX, the latest drivers for my internal intel griphics card and I have accelerarition turned on. (Win XP (MSDN AA) Prof, SP 3 + latest updates etc.)
I'm sad... What have you guys done that XP SP# would run 2.9 or 3.0b?

I tried the beta release on my WinXP true machine (no emulator), I even installed the DirectX End-User Runtime with Web Installer but I still get the d3d9.dll error.

Well, my d3d9.dll is of the same size as yours...
Did you managed to get CT 2.9/3.0 working in the real XP (not as a guest system)

On my company PC I can not use the online update installer!
How can I solv this?

There are offline installer just look down on the web instaler page.

Okay, I've tried to build 3.0 at home (still Win XP, SP3, 32-bit but with NVidia GT430 Vcard and XP beeing HOME edition).
Well, I'm tired... I'll "withdraw" to 2.8 and stick with it.
3.0 gives me this:

And that's for 5 times "in a row"...
That error in my projects have meant that I've chosen wrong cpu-os target. But this is the installer! And it clearly says "win32, i386", so I'm like totally confused.
2.9 at least had compiled for me, although were asking for non-existed function...

So I'm gonna repeat my question... sorry for that, but maybe that way it'll answered...
What have done CT team to have 2.9 and 3.0 running on their PCs?
No offence, guys, but you could've posted configuration/dxidiag results/some other system info and that could have helped to solve 2.9 mystery and find what are we need to do long ago...

Although, if all of that machines are virtual ones - I have an aswer allready, I believe

And for those with real 32bit XP:
Please, If you managed to install 2.9 or 3.0 with both dx11 and ORCA packages (out-of-the-box style) then don't hide yourself!
Please, post here your configs or anything you suggest would help.
