Hi wylton,

Installing CT under Linux is the same (almost) as intalling CT under windows. There is an extra step at the beginning in order to
check your system for the required libraries and install them.
All it is done via automated scripts that come along with the CT installation package.

Just run the "install.sh" script (if i remember the name correctly) and follow instructions

About WINDOWS Installation of CT under another path except C: "NOT STILL POSSIBLE!"

I would suggest to use some advanced partition manager to change partition sizes without losing data. Just reduce size of D, and enlarge C partition. Then you can safely install CT to C:\

If you are adventurous enough (and also skilled enough - since it will require a lot of search and replace in many files and also some binary patching), you can try to make it work on D drive, but in that case you can not blame no one else if something doesn't work, since as papadouk already said, installation to any other drive is not officially supported.

I suggest copying C: and D: onto another media, re-partition them and copying files back.
Usage of partition managers and tools would result in "non-defragmentable" fragmentation.

"Install System Libraries" first
help

Lazarus request only a small part of System libraries (Small IDE)
CodeTyphon request more libraries (BIG IDE)

i changed windows setup script, so that it would allow changing paths.

Right of i am upgrading CT from d:\Tmp\CodeTyphonIns to default c:\CodeTyphon

Specifiying non-default target path SHOULD work, if you're attentive to the outlined restrictions. Though that is only for main script, i hope that CodeTyphon Center and all build/make scripts have no "c:\codetyphon" value hardcoded (afterall they should be unix-compatible aswell), so i expect once yhe modified script unpacked seed into the path of your choice - the rest would "just" work. But i don't know.

Also beware that script is just plain dumb BAT-file, if you'd manage to set key in wrong folder - like "C:\" - it perhaps would wipe all your drive including Windows and whatever. So... take your chances but don't blame me if you'd just delete everything :-)

True symlinks are not available on *FAT* filesystems (well, not sure about exFAT, but definitely not supported on FAT12/16 and FAT32).

I also doubt that are available with ext2/3 or Reiser3 on Windows.

Regarding 2nd point i meant not .bat files but CT Center GUI, make scripts and all other framework.

PS: link above is moved to Dropbox.
there was small error and also 3.10 fix onl;y has reference value after 4.00 released

You don't need "true" symlink. You need ntfs on C: drive. Having it so you may "attach" folder from other FS, like Fat/16/32.
