Greetings everyone,

CodeTyphon installed prefectly and runs on my desktop computer, but it is not running on my notebook computer. Both my desktop and my notebook are running Ubuntu 11.10

The message is:
Error: system.ppu not found. Check your fpc.cfg.

Attached is a screenshot of the error message.

Sir
my suggestion is to "remove and build all"
after installation of "System Libraries"

I see this error every time i try to "Restore" my Lazarus Desktop Settings.

My solution to this message is to simply assign the paths again. When this is done nothing else
is required.

I got it working, no longer getting a message that a file named fpc.cfg can't be found. Actually the message should say that permissions were denied.

1. Before installing, erase all broken links named ppc386 and look for and erase any fpc.cfg files in the /etc folder (or sub-folders)
2. After installing, give root permission to Create and Delete in the /home/your_user_name/.lazarus32 folder --which is a hidden folder. I used a Terminal window and entered gksudo nautilus, in the Terminal, to visually make the changes to the permissions
3. Make sure that root also has permissions to Create and Delete on the fpc.cfg file in the
/usr/lib/codetyphon/fpc/bin/i386-linux/ppc386 folder
4. May need to change /tmp/ to /var/tmp/ in the Tools->Options then select Environment->Files section
