We working on Graphics32 Library ver 2.0 (SVN 1625)

Mattias Andersson

Here's a list from the top of my head of things that I would like to
propose for this new release:

* VPR integration;
* Replace GR32_Polygons and add backward-compatible fixed-point routines;
* GR32_Paths.pas for drawing paths;
* New TCustomCanvas class with support for paths, transformations,
polygon fillers etc.;
* ITextToPathSupport interface for platform-specific text to path
conversions;
* New TFont class with support for hinting, kerning, tracking and weight;
* New framework for bitmap filter support;
* Gaussian blur, motion blur and morphological filters;
* Seam carving and new resampling methods (I have an old project that I
might try to revive, which would be rather different from the current
resamplers.);
* Flood fill support (if I have time to update an old project);
* Polygon clipping (Angus, what's your opinion on this?);
* New optimizations for FPC and support for the BGRA format;
* Better support for platforms other than Windows (such as Android);
* New example projects.

I think Graphics32 2.0 will definitely mark a new milestone in the
development of this library and I hope that it will spark a lot of new
creative developments.

I will be working on my APC library as well, but at the moment APC is not
designed as a cross-platform library, so GR32 still has some advantages
over APC.

Finally on lab CodeTyphon 4.20, we:

-Port Graphic32 image library to QT (KDE desktop)
-Fix Image loading problems on GTK2/3 (GNOME desktop)

Now we can rebuild our old PImager application...

Some screens from Windows64, Solaris64, Debian64 and Chakra64
and have fun...
