Hi guys,

I was really surprised that PWS:Win32/lineage virus was detected by Windows defender in several Code Typhon 6.15 files  . See screenshots attached.

The infected files apparently hide a password catcher. What is the problem as many users could be worried about this situation :woohoo:

Hope some reply can be seen soon

Thank you in advance for considering this inquiry

Patrick

translation

ok yep, forget about these craps coming from your antivirus (even more those coming from microshot)
to me, I configured my antivirus for years (2011) telling them to avoid bothering CodeTyphon's folder and its subfolders. You can believe and trust me, at home or at work my computers are healthy like a charm!
nowadays everybody turns paranoid... even more since last ransomware repported on tv shows, and I guess major firms are willing to scare amateur programmers, by idiotic mean meanings. They want to keep all the pie for themselves, close the doors behind their success

Avira did'nt report any virus from my CT installation (6.15 too). If you really want to be sure, scan the reported files on jotti.org (on line multi AV scan).

Thank you Gulyone an and Lemaire for your advices.

Sure Microsoft should not frankly support open source projects and therefore it is not really surprising that win tools for viruses detection render some false positive results.
From now, I will checked CT files using ClamWin.
Thanks again for sharing opinions :)

few more words :
what is a ransomware?
IF
a ransomware is a kind of software blackmailing you, saying that you won't be able to use your hardware quietly, without paying them taxes!!!
Correct???
THEN
98% of antivirus tools ARE RANSOMWARE (you renew them each year with MONEY)

you should panic!!!

want more ? okay

imagine you invent a nice software, a damn good utility!
what will happen
IF
you dont pay antivirus firms to let you do your business?
THEN
they are going to repport your nice software as potentially dangerous

FINALLY
you are going to give up with your just started business
BECAUSE
you were not able to pay taxes to ransomware antiviruses

THE MOST DANGEROUS OF THEM IS FROM MICROSOFT

Keep calm and pray

ending :

antivirus systems are THE MOST POWERFUL ransomware in all cases
(not the free ones, but those you pay for)

they get money from their clients on each renew,
they get money on the back of cool creators wanting to make money with their creations, by removing false positives on express demands from the creators (demands with cash $$$)
