With a OS windows xp sp3, y try to install CT 5.20.
But in a few moment, the install freeze.

Can you help me ?

i have stopped the antivirus
i use the codetyphon software for the install.
the system freeze in section clean

post all build log (zip first), the file has only the 20% of build log

CodeTyphon has an Advance Tool, CodeTyphon Center
please open CodeTyphon Center go to CTC => CodeTyphon=> and click "Remove and Build ALL"





then go to CTC => CommandBox page and Save Actions log

looking at your log, it seems there are no files created under c:\codetyphon when you start your install/update.

Are you sure you are running the installer as administrator ?
Please verify you take account of everything in the Wiki Page .
Looks like a problem of permissions, the only programs called from the scripts are 'rm' !

in fact the freeze point is alway the same.
i use windows xp sp3
with the old version the problem is the same.

hy tony, i try what you write, no result !

in fact when i use another os (like win7) the install is good.
But for me the investiment on win7 isn't possible.
i have a version pro of xp (original).

Do you have any antivirus ? I had problems with Avast! detecting false positive and silently moving some exe (rm, ppc386...) in quarantine...
In that case, exclude c:\codetyphon directory and the one where you unzip CodeTyphonIns.zip.
Or turn off the antivirus during download/install (no Trojan Horse in Thess/niki :P)
My own copy of CT 5.20 is 562.075.449 bytes and MD5 e85eb2b4ff672713193852cf2b181cee

Try to manually create c:\codetyphon
Extract the content of CodetphonIns directly to the c:, so you should see CodeTyphonIns as a directory
Move all the content of c:\CodeTyphonIns\installbin into c:\codetyphon

If all is ok, locate your cmd.exe in windows and right-click, run as administrator
You should see "Administrator" in the window title
Then enter:
c:
cd c:\codetyphon
setup.bat
select 8) Remove and Build All

hard to find, i try some issues.

The result is the same...

the setup install freeze some tine, the rm function freeze...

Hi!
You can try to search any more copy of executable named "rm.exe" if you post this command in your cmd.
C:\>dir C:\ /S /B | find "\rm.exe"

Maybe problem in that different rm.exe start for install script operation :whistle:
I have install CT 5.20 into my WinXP SP3 without problem.

Hi,
using Safe Mode ("mode sans échec" in french) will only permit you to compile CT and use it.
Normal because no path to parasite exe nor antivirus.
But if you want to add some components/packages and compile again the IDE, you will have to return to Safe Mode too.

Better to
- set AV Scan Exclusion on the directories of C:\CodeTyphon (Avast! quarantines some exe for example)
- check for precedence in PATH of any utility like CygWin, Git, MinGW which could interfer with CT ;)
