TOPIC:

Sometimes I close Lazarus and when I reopen it Main IDE window is not visible. All the other windows are OK (I mean Object inspector, project form, ...).
I must reset IDE settings and everything was ok.

sometimes i got same invisible Main IDE or sometimes invisible window messages

sometimes reset IDE setting in CT not work,

so on normal IDE, i backup my lazarus setting located at
C:\Documents and Settings\[User]\Application Data\lazarus32

if i got trouble i just restore it with my backup

Sometimes when app is run from IDE, all IDE windows hide them selves except editor window and app window. Bringing some other window in front and then into back helps IDE restore all of it's windows. Pressing twice "Show Desktop" from quick launch has the same effect. So far only noticed on WinXP.

I found the problem:
it's in the GlassDockingRuntime.xml file (Lazarus32 settings)-
If you close Lazarus when main IDE is minimized, the content of this file is change to
<Item1 Name="MainIDE" Type="CustomSite" WindowState="Minimized">
If you remove the WindowState="Minimized" attribute your Main IDE window is back again.
