Next CT ver 6.10 it's only a step

To get the people using CT you should us tell a little about the vision !

When there is no way back to Lazarus/FPC, it should be fair to get some more information to decide witch tool to use.

As I wrote above: I like CT!

So give us reasons to cold-shoulder Lazarus in the future.

And another question here: Will CT be always free of charge?

Sir
First of All, here in PilotLogic all programmers know that this subject is very serious.

1) Pilotlogic it's a Software House.
A group of REAL programmers (5-6 Core team members and 20-40 partial team members)
and we keep all our promises.

2) We want a Free Programming Studio for ALL programmers,
so, CodeTyphon i'ts FREE and Open Source and will remain FREE and Open Source.
and only one zip version, NO "Professional" or "Architect" or any other version
This "Mapet Show" must stop in Pascal Programming World.

3) We make money from our applications, NOT from the programming studio (CodeTyphon) or from Components Libraries.

4) Object Pascal Is the most Powerful programming Lang,
but has bad luck with Commercial philosophy programmers.
And this must stop.

5) We will continue with the same passion and with more help from CodeTyphon users (I hope).

After this "Manifest" my friend, do you want more...

I can not get enough ;-)

What you wrote sounds really great. You have convinced me!
I believe on this base I can carry on my work with CT

Thank you for the clarification!

Sir

We will continue cross-compile-arm support and
we are waiting for more arm64 boards and OSes.
(Pi3 has arm64 hardware but use arm32 OS)
We want to port Codetyphon on arm64 OS.

We will continue and android development but we are waiting for the pascal community...
yes yes,
android-ndk or jvm-android or both ?
and more open source.
We don't have any Android java API expert here, yet

We test many things here in our LAB but some of then with NO success ...

use arm32 OS

CT 5.80 64-bit OK
CT 5.90 64-bit OK

Please when will you release a Ct ide running on raspberry pi 3? I have trunk lazarus running there from years. Why can't do that? Please let me know. Is the only way to debug some low levels app. Remote debugging ever work.

Sir
in CT update procedure you must select 8 (Remove and build ALL) info
Building only Typhon IDE with old Freepascal not supported

We test CodeTyphon "as one", "monoblock" in our release tests

Sternas,

I am not sure if changing the file extensions is necessarily a good idea. Sometimes source files needs to be shared between different developers, and for one reason or other some of them are using the lazarus IDE. This is becoming a problem now.

@Leslie

You should read the whole thread ....

You're not alone with your opinion, but they had plans to extend the files also, so the compatibility to lazarus will be lost anyway.
May be it is a great thing - we have to wait.

Yes this is true
according to our "MAIN" Lab plan, from CT 6.40 we will extend the files formats
We try many new things in our lab, some of them need the above action.

to me, the situation is simple. and i guess i am not the only one...

If i can no more compile my projects with next gen CT because of non-compatibilities issues with files exts or (something else), I will then move back to lazarus, and manually install required packages. BECAUSE I do not want to manage old projects for them to run tomorrow.

Regards
