What is missing in IDE, is a search components engine as delphi xe. By typing searches components similar to writing. That is fundamental to many componets.
If desides change the ide, I suggest having the option to choose which to install or use

Lo que le falta al ide es un buscador de componentes como delphi xe. al tipear busca componentes similares a lo escrito. eso es fundamental para tantos componetes.
Si desides cambiar el ide sugiero tengas la opcion de elegir cual instalar o usar

1) We will make a "typing" search engine for components

2) You can build SmallIDE
and then open tool->Install/Uninstall packages,
select your packages and Build IDE

You can save your packages configuration to a file and load
this file any time you want

The CTCenter give you the ability to build:
a) minimum IDE: Small-IDE and
b) the maximum IDE: Big-IDE.

All others configurations controlled be the IDE

If I correctly understand what you mean, Lazarus/CodeTyphon already has search components engine. Try Ctrl + Alt + P (View -> Components).

sternas, you understand me exactly. If I search a grid, write grid and show me all available grids.
the graph package is fantastic but does not help to find components

My suggesion is easy installation. I wish to just copy all in just one folder. example "/opt/Typhon" source, tool, compiler all of them easy folder view. I don't like looking for wich file is where, where is compiled file folder. I dont want use ln command for any folder or any file. Unzip or extract folder and run. ofcourse in linux make and make install. copy and run.

I was use cnwizard, if I were you, I merge gexperts and cnwizard. and the other tool is "ModelMaker Code Explorer"
For crossplatform compiler hasto be easy. Like select from combobox or checklistbox. of course just I wanna give idea

A very sound view I think.
Thanks Sternas for an excellent enhancement on a already very good IDE.
Hope to get my hands on 4.30 soon :)

I would love to see a dataexplorer like feature like delphi has, but lazarus misses.
Including connection, table and field dragging and dropping to boost form development significantly.

Bert

tools / database desktop unfortunately supports ORM-style or SQL generation, but doesn't support generation of forms with:
- TDBEdit's,
- TLabel's
- TSQLQuery,
- TDatasource and
- TDBNavigator.

Ofcourse this isn't as easy as sketched in the above situation, in some cases you would prefer TDBCombo's or a DBGrid or whatever. But typing an SQL statement and offering a nice startpoint for automatic generation of forms could spare a lot of time.

Just downloaded and installed CodeTyphon 4.30 (Windows 7) but I see it is installed with FPC 2.6.2 instead of FPC 2.7.1. My previous CT 4.20 did have FPC 2.7.1.
Am I doing something wrong or is the zip file different from the description on the website?

My mistake, I still had to rebuild Typhon and after that I do see FPC 2.7.1.
Still looking for the differences with version 4.20 as far as docking is concenrned, the IDE looks the same to me.

The IDE philosophy will remain the same Sir

For End-User 4.20 to 4.30:

1)we (hope) fix docking problems

2)we improve the Tools->Example Projects dialog
Double click on one project (about 800) to load and test

3) look at CTCenter improved File association dialog with new icons (win)

4) Look at improved ResBuilder tool

5) Fix build Android Projects with new toolchains from NDK r8e (Win, Linux)

6) fix Lhelp build on KDE

7) Fix Cross build on Linux

etc
etc

We want a simple C/C++ IDE on CT host layers...

I do not understand very well...
Do you mean that it gonna be possible with pascal code to choose what compiler use ?
To have the option to compile a Pascal program or with fpc or with g++ ?
