One component set which I would very much like to see ported
to be able to be included in CT/Lazarus/FreePascal are the video
audio components which Boian Mitov has available for use with
Delphi.

www.mitov.com/html/videolab.html

I emailed him about supporting the Lazarus/FPC system and he
said that due to some library requirements which his components have
it probably wouldn't be possible. At least in the near future.

If these could be adapted to CT/Laz/FPC it would fill a large hole in the
set of capabilities for "our" system.

I have used them when I was still using Delphi and the quality of the components
is second to none.

Hello, Indie.

Boian Mitov has told you the truth about libraries. And it's possible (afaik) to port only freeframe part of the components quickly. And that did effects only, not capture. And if you want effects, then it's probably better to look into openshot or pitivi or something else.

However, maybe you should point out what particular functions do you want from the port? Capture inself could be done by "LoadFromDevceDc" function of TBitmap (or smth like that in name - right now I'm waiting for CT 2.7 and do not have any Lazarus, so cannot check that). Convertion of a number of screenshots into, for example, *.avi file is not so difficult. Besides there are several programs doing that kind of job even taking images from another programm.

So, again, just point out the features you need and we'll se what could be done (and maybe it's allready has been done).
