You might want to add NHunspell. It's open source component to implement spell checking using OpenOffice 3 dictionaries.

sourceforge.net/projects/nhunspelldelphi/files/

If there is too much work, then you may leave it for next version.

actually found CT 4.5 working "F"ine on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Long time Support stable) and on Windows 7 64 bits.

I just want to put a little question that isn't clear to me :

why does CT build his amazing and great IDE on unstable versions of FPK compiler ? I really don't get it.

I tried to rebuild CT with a stable release of FPK (actually 2.6.0) but scripts aborted

I think that if CT team provided an IDE based on stable FPC compiler releases, they would likely earn better worldwide fame. Especially with professionnal developpers they target

we want to be one step ahead, always
and we make tests before every CT release.
We select FPC SVN revision from these tests.

Don't forget our "lab test circle":
Win32=>Win64=>Linux32=>Linux64=>FreeBSD32=>FreeBSD64=>Solaris32=>Solaris64
Linux32-QT=>Linux64-QT=>Cross-WinCE=>Cross-Android->etc.

The team for these "lab test circle": 10 programmers with 25 PC.

We start "lab test circle" every Friday in-order to keep
LAB CodeTyphon version always releasable (hot)

We mark every success pass of "lab test circle" for FPC SVN revision

I agree.

fpc 2.7.1 is not stable yet.

The attached example works fine with 2.6.x, but not with 2.7.1

@ sam

Interestingly, Your provided example works without the described error with this FPC 2.7.1 "Rev 24744, with Modification":

02-Jun-2013 ver 4.30
Typhon IDE 4.3.0 Synchronize with Lazarus Source SVN 01-06-2013 Rev 41480.
FreePascal 2.7.1 Source from SVN 01-06-2013 Rev 24744, with Modification.

The later ones are indeed faulty.

Would be interesting, what the modification was.
