I'll add: the problem is more than just concatenation. The "format" (and like this) function also does not work correctly.

Concatenation and even more so the format function - these are very critical aspects of the language! In the previous version everything worked fine, in the new one it does not work. Can't you make an urgent patch to fix the problem?

Thanks for the tip to apply version 7.40!
Concatenation works fine.
But unfortunately, memory leaks appeared in my project in Indy components: IdThreadSafe.pas, line 253 (and others). Previously (build in versions 7.3 and 7.2) there were no memory leaks.

Big request: do not reset user preferences (font, color scheme, code completion, recent projects, etc.) when upgrading a version.

We try for that,
but it's NOT so simple.

For pl_Indy you can use the source from a previous version, which work OK for you
